I make photography and video for brands that care about the difference between content and a story worth telling. The shot matters. I've spent years getting obsessive about it, especially the hard stuff most people avoid. But the shot is the easy part. What I actually sell is the thinking that happens before the camera comes out.

Most of my value lives in pre-production: understanding your business well enough to know what the work is for, then building a plan that makes the final piece feel inevitable instead of lucky. That's the part most creatives skip, and I think it's what separates work that performs from work that just looks nice.

A lot of that has been launches, putting products and brands in front of people for the first time. I've done it for Original Grain and their partners and for smaller businesses finding their footing, and it's the part I love most. Getting something into the world well is a different skill than documenting it.

It starts with a conversation. If I understand your vision and you trust how I work, we'll get along great. If you just need someone to show up and press the button, I'm probably not your guy, but I probably know him, and we can still be friends.

The highest compliment I get isn't a like or a repost. It's when someone makes one of my photos their profile picture. That's the whole job, really. Making something good enough that you want to be seen in it.
