Damn… This Is My Job
Sometimes it’s —
“DAMN!!! THIS IS MY JOB?!”
Other times it’s —
“GAHHHHDAMNNN… why is this my job?”
Right now, I’m feeling it all.
Burnt out. Behind. Brain foggy from too many edits and not enough time. My head’s full of timelines, client deliverables, filenames, and ideas I haven’t had time to chase.
Sometimes creativity turns into checklists.
The thing I love starts to feel like just another job I’m barely keeping up with.
But then I zoom out.
I try to remember that no matter where I’m at in life, I can look back at an earlier version of me — the one who dreamed about this.
The one who would’ve lost his mind if he knew this would be the work I get to do.
And I remember: I’m lucky.
I get to keep showing up for something I love. Even when it’s hard. Especially then.
